About Us

Mubu craft exceptional live music experiences that bring people together, inspire communities, and create meaningful connections. From intimate family programmes to dynamic festival performances, we curate a diverse range of events that are designed to leave a lasting positive impact for audiences, artists and venues alike. Whether through concert tours, early years productions, or community-driven initiatives, our work fosters creativity and connection that resonates far beyond the performance itself.

We work across a diverse spectrum of music – from jazz, world-roots and folk, to classical, contemporary and experimental sounds – sparking original, immersive experiences that engage all ages. From the vibrant family programme at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival or our monthly Musical Picnic series at Warwick Arts Centre & The Barber Institute at The University of Birmingham, to our year-round Live in the Lodge community music programme in embedded in North Birmingham, we aim to enrich lives through the transformative power of music. This spring, we launch the free New Sounds Jazz workshop at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, to support young musicians across the city.

Music is a catalyst for change. Our work also stretches from schools and children’s centres to sheltered housing and NHS partnerships, from participatory workshops and improvised street music to digital performances. We collaborate with national and international partners, venues, local producers and organisations to deliver music that fosters inclusion, artistic brilliance, and ignites social change.
