Mubu Music
Mubu produce, curate and programme exceptional live music experiences for audiences, artists and communities, from festivals to early years and family productions, concert tours to sustainable community programmes. We bring people together though music, creating personal, adventurous performances and distinctive original programmes with lasting social impact. We work with national and international organisations and venues, to specialist regional producers across arts & culture, music, festivals, education and health.

Our recent work includes producing original programmes for the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, the Barber Institute at the University of Birmingham and Warwick Arts Centre, alongside our ongoing, year-round intergenerational community music programme in North Birmingham – Live in the Lodge. We create participatory workshops and performances in children’s centres, schools & sheltered housing across the Midlands, to improvised street music, live digital streaming gigs and connecting music to the NHS. We work across diverse jazz, world, roots, folk, contemporary classical, improvised music and beyond, from artistic programming to productions for families, children and schools, and focused co-designed local programmes strengthening communities, inclusion and helping social change through music.
“I live on the estate – I’ve been here for about 20 years. This is really important – I love the sense of community spirit we have going. Everyone comes together and really appreciates and enjoys performing music, and watching other people perform music. I hope it continues for a long time to come.”
